Chick Peas: There are two types of chickpeas produced globally, namely desi and kabuli chickpeas.
Desi chick peas: They have a smaller, reddish brown-colored seed with thick seed coat. The seeds are generally small and angular with a rough surface.
Kabuli Chickpeas: Kabuli chickpeas have a larger cream –colored seed with a thin seed coat. Kabuli is the most traded among the chickpeas.
